"Naturally Supernatural" with Diane Leman & Julie Yoder

Welcome to part 5 of our special Heart of the Vineyard series, where Caleb Maskell talks with Julie Yoder and Diane Leman about the topic “Naturally Supernatural.” Julie and Di share examples of naturally supernatural ministry, how naturally supernatural language becomes incorporated into life, and generational differences in engaging with the supernatural. “Naturally Supernatural” is part 5 of an 8-part series called Heart of the Vineyard, which explores some of the foundational themes in the identity of the Vineyard. Each part contains a teaching video, an interview with a long-standing Vineyard pastor, and small group materials to help you take the information deeper and evaluate how you and your church relate to each theme. You can engage the series here! Julie Yoder is the Senior Pastor of The Vineyard Church of Central Illinois, along with her husband, Mike. Diane Leman is Julie's mother and the founding pastor of The Vineyard Church of Central Illinois. For Julie, growing up as the only girl amongst four brothers and being raised by pastor parents was incredible preparation for the challenges of ministry! She has a passion for communication and began to hone her gift as a 6th-grade reading teacher. Her enthusiasm for connecting people into healthy Kingdom communities eventually led to her serving as the Small Group Pastor before joining her husband as the Executive Pastors at TVC, then Lead Pastors upon her parents’ retirement. Together, Mike and Julie are committed to building and cultivating the Kingdom culture of family on their staff and team. They love partnering in ministry and in parenting their four awesome children: Ty, Tate, Maggie, and Molly. Along with leading the staff, Julie co-leads the preaching team and is committed to helping develop communicators to the very best of their abilities. In addition to loving her family and church, Julie loves walking, eating chocolate daily, and getting lost in a good book. Diane left her career in education after encountering the Holy Spirit and experiencing God’s miraculous healing from infertility. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Vineyard Leadership Institute, and Vineyard Bible Institute, Dianne entered full-time ministry with her husband, Happy, and together they have pastored The Vineyard Church of Central Illinois, Urbana, IL. while raising their family of four sons and one daughter. Over the past forty years, Dianne has served on the Vineyard USA Executive Team, led the Women in Leadership and Renewal Teams, and traveled widely sharing God’s love and healing power. She is the author of three books that reflect her passions: We’re Pregnant! How to Receive God’s Cure for Infertility, Hello Holy Spirit: God’s Gift of Live-in Help, and Jesus Heals Today: God’s Prescription for a Hurting World. While she continues to mentor many young people, her greatest joy is sharing Jesus’ love with her 18 grandchildren!
